Driven by the passion to empower, Rue & Case was birthed as an avenue to generate funds to support black owned businesses. Founders Ruvimbo & Casey carefully handpick & design each piece to tell a story of strength & hope. Growing up in Africa and migrating to Canada, both founders dealt with the challenges of trying to fit in and adapt to a new culture. After several failed attempts to conform, they realized their success was tied to them fully embracing who they are. Combining this realization with their passion for fashion and knowledge that the way one dresses determines how they are addressed, Rue & Case was birthed, with a simple mission to make it more than just wear but an opportunity to empower.
After spending over 5 years consulting small black owned businesses, in an effort to strategically position and give them a competitive edge, we came across many talented business owners with great products & services but one thing was sadly common, they lacked funds to enable them to fully adopt the strategies we had created to enable them to aggressively compete in their respective markets. Tired of focusing on the problem, we decided to become part of the solution and set up this online store to generate revenue which will be channeled to empower and elevate black owned businesses.
